Fear creates a sea of stress. Anxiety spawns rivulets. I find sometimes the only way to distract myself from worry, anxiety, and fear is to indulge in some unhealthy habits! Also, to steep myself in escape (books, movies, fantasy). A therapist told me once that to mature is to learn how to cultivate healthy coping mechanisms. Can such mechanisms be easy, effective, inexpensive? I hope so. I will be receiving your “Daily Do-ables” so I look forward to filling up my coping “pantry” with something besides cookies.

Yes, many mechanisms can be…
I invite you to fill yourself up with some coping tools that will serve you better, but do save room for a few of those cookies. While they may be labeled “bad” for things like tummies and thighs, taken in moderation, they are so very good for the spirit!
